During my work experience as a junior architect ‘Sahel Al-Hiyari Architects’, I worked on Najwa Resort, an eco-tourism project consisting of a number of different lodges and units, scattered in Wadi Rum to form a unique journey for travellers. My Work was in Schematic Design I and Schematic Design II phases.

Hammam/Najwa Resort-Schematic I
This Hammam’s plan lies mostly underground. All that is seen on the site are hats of rough stone embedded in the wooden deck. Connected by the wooden deck, the different treatment rooms are linked. The underground spaces are meant to be raw and chiseled in the stone.

In Schematic Design I phase , as a junior architect I worked on the 2d representation and drafting of this project.
Arrival Area // Najwa Resort-Schematic II
The first thing visitors would see when arriving to Najwa, is the Arrival Area. It is situated in a cove like mountainous area. Each function is represented by a separate entity, to form a village. The floor plans are generated from mud patterns. Visitors will enter from the side, and as they go through this village of sculptures. The walls are bent to the outside to show the play of light on different times of the day.
_Responsibilities:
The initial phase of concept, zoning, and program development with all its 2-d and 3-d drawings.Later stage ,of 2d- representation and drafting.
Villa 01//// Najwa Resort-Schematic II
This is one of the private villas in Najwa .It was designed to be suspended between two mountains, and work structurally. Also, it is as conservative as possible to the environment of rum.
