Aiyyn means eye in arabic, and Omar Zobi wanted an office to peek on to the world from.
Omaz Zo’bi, a graphic designer based in Amman wanted an office on display, where people can pass by, watch and interact with designers while working.
The location of the office is in place of a hardware store, with a dominating grid of columns and beams. The concept revolves around fusing the public and private with a ‘dancing’ perforated wall that moves orthogonally based on the lines of the structural grid. The wall moves in the shop creating private, semi-public and public spaces with sneak peeks to other spaces. The facade line that creates the seperation between the street and the inside of the office is pushed back to creates a public ‘portico’.
